If it felt familiar, maybe you remembered King Théoden and Wormtongue—where the so-called ruler was just a puppet while the real power was his creepy advisor.

Musk, in a T-shirt and baseball cap, flouted Trump’s dress code, grinned and rambled while his son interrupted Trump, picked his nose, and wiped his finger on the Resolute Desk. Trump , germaphobe that he is, recoiled but remained docile.
He spoke only when permitted. Fell silent when Musk took the floor. The power dynamic was unmistakable. And Musk absolutely reveled in it.

This isn’t Musk’s first time humiliating Trump in public. At the inauguration, Musk stood behind the presidential seal, casually delivering Nazi salutes to the small indoor crowd before stepping back to feign ignorance about the commotion that followed.

He also quipped with Netanyahu that he was the president in all but name.
It wasn’t a joke.
