Join the Wide Awake America Chat
A private space for subscribers to converse, connect, and brainstorm
First off, thank you!
I launched the Wide Awake America Substack on New Year's, and today, we have 870 subscribers. And because so many of you share and repost content, our views are skyrocketing.
A special shout out to paid subscribers who have joined me in the commitment to keep the content free and available for everyone, not behind a paywall. Because of you, I can get the professional support to keep this going despite having a full-time+ job.
Based on messages from many of you, today I’m announcing a brand new addition to my Substack publication: Wide Awake America subscriber chat.
This is a conversation space exclusively for subscribers—kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post questions and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion. I hope you will suggest topics and people you think would be good guests on the show.
And if you want to go further and be a volunteer with Wide Awake America, we could definitely use the help.
I hope Wide Awake America will feel more like a community of thinkers, organizers, activists, and muckraking journalists at a time when disinformation and media control are rampant. I’m committed to creating a place where people can get smarter about the things that matter, not simply spiral in panic. Non-toxic news to awaken democracy.
So, thank you again for subscribing, sharing, and sending good vibes and suggestions.
How to get started
Get the Substack app by clicking this link or the button below. New chat threads won’t be sent sent via email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens. You can also access chat on the web.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
